It's been winter for months now and we could all use a little 'winter love'. So this is to announce:

-- COZY WINTER NIGHTS --
A winter themed contest dedicated to our beloved Yuki. Light the fireplace, snuggle up under the blanket to the one you love (obviously Yuki)... or don't, because he'll be a mouse by the time you first hug.

Using whatever media you like, draw a winter scene that includes the Fruits Basket character, Yuki Sohma. He could be huddling by the fire place, building a snowman, having a snowball fight... anything and everything that has to do with winter. It doesn't even have to be an activity! The winter theme simply must be present within the picture.

Rules/Guidelines
1. Your entry must be original and completely your own (i.e. no usage of images from the manga/anime).
2. You may enter a picture you have already entered in other contests.
3. You are allowed to enter more than once.
4. Post your entries on your account, then send us a note with a link to the work. The work will be added to a list that will be posted.
5. Deadline: March 1, 2005
6. Voting method will be through the note system.


PRIZE: Heh, what you're all interested in. The prize for this contest will be 1) 'Featured Deviation' on the HatboyFantasies account and 2) an art request from *BloodRubiesNata OR a fanfic/art request from ~Frazst (FF.net screenname: Capheine).

What the hell is Hatboy!? Well for the lot of you that are really overly concerned about spoilers, I'm going to have fun and make a fancy spoiler warning. I personally wouldn't count it as a spoiler... because.... it was mentioned in a very early chapter in the manga O.O... like.... where episode 6 would be.

~*~*~Possible Spoiler!~*~*~ <--- seriously, you don't have to worry about it ruining your life. It's like saying Kyo envies Yuki. It's - not - a - big - spoiler.

Okiday, instead of the whole slow-motion thing that we had in the 6th episode of Fruits Basket, there was something much more interesting that we were told. We were told by none other than Tohru (she told this to Uo and Hana, with Kyo looking into the room without them noticing) that when she was little she got lost and couldn't find her way home. A mysterious boy in a hat found her, and he gave her the hat as she found her mom. That boy turned out to be Yuki, but as far as I've seen in the manga Tohru still doesn't know this.
That's about it... told you it wasn't much T_T. I bet a ton of you have already heard of Hatboy.
Whatever... the point is that Hatboy is awesome. He just is.... I dunno when Syd and I established this... but we've always liked Hatboy (and Yuki in glasses)... Syd wants his hat....
I like him... 'cause I like Yuki.... and I like Yuki because he has emotional issues. Yup. I like people that have bad child hoods. Syd just thinks he's sexy T_T. and... frankly I dunno about Ooky O.O
Why do YOU like Yuki? ^_^
